What's in a name?

Last night I installed the most recent Eye Candy Plugins for Fireworks 8.

The installer looks for programs on your computer that can be used with Eye Candy, and asks you to pick which one to install to.

Among my choices...Fireworks MX 2005...and Fireworks 8 no where to be found.

Dev Net has Studio 8

I just logged in to my Dev Net Subscription an dnoticed the the Studio 8 components were available for download.

If you have a Dev Net subscription, check it out.

Only time will tell.

For those who live under a rock, or use this site as a source for real information (God help you if you fit into the latter), Adobe has announced plans to acquire Macromedia.

What does this mean for my favorite Macromedia products (I admit it , I like Dreamweaver)?  Who knows, but I think it is safe to assume Fireworks and Freehand have seen their last releases (I think you could say the sme for GoLive).  Is this a bad thing?  Again, who knows, only time will tell.

Dreamweaver MX 2004 and FTP sites

I recently started using Dreqmweaver MX 2004. Over the last several days I have had problems navigating through an FTP 'site'.
