CF Fantasy Football

So, I am a fantasy football nut.  Each year, I usually have 3-4 teams on various sites (such as ESPN.com, NFL.com, etc). The problem is that I rarely know anyone else in the league and that kind of takes some of the fun out of it.

So, this year, I decided to start my own league and invite people I know, or at least know of, to join.  I took the geek route and named the league 'CF-ootball' and each division name is a previous CF pre-release code name - yea, I know it's so geeky, its bordering on uncomfortable.

Anyway, if you are interested, let me know by leaving a comment below, and make sure you use a valid email address there I can sent the invite.

I'm interested...but will have to take a gander at rules and $-situation (if any) when those things are known...

Scott, put me down as interested. I have built a Flex/CF/BlazeDS based draft system that my friends have used for the past 4 years. If you are interested we could use that for a live draft. Perhaps espn or nfl.com offer better ones.

@John - for this year, there will not be any money involved, but there may be next year. The rules are pretty basic, though I did change up the points values form the 'base' league offered by ESPN.

@Kurt - It would be cool to use Flex/CF/Blaze. Will it allow 'auto picks' in case someone cannot make the live draft? The league will be hosted on ESPN.com and they allow that (Honestly, in the last few years, I have only manually drafted the first few rounds and then let the 'auto pick' take over.

You guys will both be getting invites shortly.

No it doesn't do auto picks. I wrote it back when there only these crummy java applets for live drafts that forced you to set a time limit for each pick. It is pretty flexible in how it works but it is really designed for a live draft among friends across the country. For this league we might do better with ESPN system especially if a bunch of people cannot make the draft or we don't want to draft all the rounds. In the league I run we have 12 players to a team and 12 teams and the live draft takes about 2.5 hours with about 3 mins. allowed per pick.

I just did the 'compatibility test' and it looked for Flash Player 9.

To everyone who was waiting - with baited breath, no doubt - the league is currently full. Everyone who had requested an invite has signed up and willing to participate.

Sorry :(
