Not Quite 19-0...

I came across this link for a book being offered on Amazon. The book is about how the New England Patriots went 19-0 during the 2007 NFL season.  There is one issue though, they have not gone 19-0.  In order to do that, they must beat the New York Giants this Sunday in the Super Bowl.

Now, I am a Giants fan, so this is more of a slap in the face, but this is by far one of the most insulting things, towards a team, I have seen in professional sports.  Even worse than Jerry Jones putting 2 tickets in each of the Cowboys' lockers before the Giants beat them 2 weeks ago.

Seeing that Amazon is taking pre-orders for that book would make me cheer for anyone who would be playing the Patriots this week, even, dare I say, the Cowboys.

Go Big Blue!!

Drew's Gravatar Don't take it personal... It's the stupid Globe, not the Pats or the Krafts.

Scott Stroz's Gravatar @Drew - My brother juts sent me that same link.

Still hate the Pats though.

Massimo's Gravatar Maybe they are just predicting what is gonna happen after the pats having a loss free season. I wouldn't listen to the Globe either that would be like listening to a weatherman in new england and knowing what the weather would be on a certain day and of course the weatherman is always wrong but I do wish the Pats the best.

Brian's Gravatar Note that there was also a pre-sale item called: New York Giants; 2008 Super Bowl Champions, ... it has been pulled and so has the Globe's.

And good job Burress predicting at 23-17 win. I expect a Pats blowout here. Don't look at the low scoring Pats of the past 8 weeks. Look back to the good weather.

Scott Stroz's Gravatar @Brian - I expect you will be wrong. I won't go so far as saying the Giants will win, but I don't think it will be a blowout.

Dan G. Switzer, II's Gravatar Congrats on the big win tonight. The Giants Superbowl win was certainly won of the biggest upsets in all of sports.

Joe from Joisey's Gravatar Most likely an advertisement for the book was placed in the Giant's locker room.
(supposedly the book will now, not be published - sigh, since I ordered a few copies for my Patriot-fan friends.
Interestingly, Burress' projection wasn't that far off.

foobar's Gravatar The Giants suck: It was only luck that they
won that game.

Whatever.

Scott Stroz's Gravatar You can say what you like about the 2007 Giants, just don't for get to call them Super Bowl Champions.

Scott Stroz's Gravatar I love that the Pats didn't even score the 17 Buress said they would.

Brian's Gravatar Im a huge Pats fan, I wrote the earlier comment expecting a blowout. Congrats Giant Fans.

@foobar -- Sure luck plays a part in wins, that goes for Pats too ... just look at the Ravens game.

The Giants D won that game for them, it was pressure for 4 quarters. The Patriots looked flat and the Offense just didn't look motivated.

I feel bad for Junior Seau. To play in a league 18 years and not win is tough. The Patriots will be back next year hopefully they can win one for Seau if he returns.

PS's Gravatar Congrats to the Giants from a Pats fan. You guys deserved it. My only question is, why harp on "18-1"? Why not just be proud of 14-6? The way that some fans have been acting, it's as if Giants fans are happier about another team losing than their own team winning. This isn't Sox-Yanks here, or even Pats-Jets. It's not the Patriots' or their fans' fault that The Boston Globe tried to make a quick buck by pre-selling a 19-0 book. Just my two cents.
