New Job!

Today is my first day at a new job.  I have decided to leave AboutWeb and have accepted a position with Alagad.  This decision did not come lightly as the group at AboutWeb is top notch, and I have made quite a few friends there.  However, the opportunity from Alagad was one that was too good to pass up.

One of the great advantages is that I get to work from home full-time.  I worked from home full-time before going to work for AboutWeb, and I, and my family really miss it.  Another advantage (though some might call it a disadvantage) is I get to work with/for a good friend, Doug Hughes.  Doug and I worked together at Advanced Solutions International (along with Joe Rinehart) and were cube neighbors.

I think Alagad has great potential and I wanted to be a part of that success.  I look forward to working with Doug to help grow the business and do some kick ass work.

@Scott: As I've said before, welcome to the team!

@Ray & Sean: Want a job? ;)

@Everyone else: Please keep Alagad in mind moving forward. I aimto make Alagad one of the most prominent development shops in the CF/Flex/RIA industry over the next couple years. We would love a chance to work with you to help you accomplish your company's goals.

Maybe gaining 10 hours previously spent in commute, you'll have time to Blog more, Scott.

Good point Dan. As as matter of fact, blogging more has become a part of the new job.

Hey, Scott. It was good seeing you at CFUnited. Too bad I felt crappy after the first day (on account of the hotel's subzero temperature) and ended up skipping all the social events. Good luck with the new Alagad gig. Enjoy the non-commute and coding in your underwear.
