CF Developers and Xbox...Perfect Together
I have been a member of XBox Live since the very first wave of beta testers was selected. I used to love playing online, typically with some guys I used to work with (who also happened to be beta testers). In the first 2 years of being on Live, I don't think I ever played where there wasn't at least one other person I knew playing as well.
See, while I love video games, I am not very good at them, especially first person shooters. I have not played a whole lot of Live recently because its no longer fun. If i try to play Gears of War, I typically cannot go more than 2 steps without getting killed. I don't like playing against people who spend 23 hours a day on Live. Its kind of like paintball. When I have played paintball, it was a lot more fun when we had enough people for our own field, even though we may have all sucked, than be stuck with a few guys who eat, sleep, breathe and sh*t paintball.
I know there are quite a few CF develoeprs who play on Live, and I have quite a few on my friends list. How many of you would be interested in having a regular 'Live Party' every week, or every other week where just people you know would be playing? I think it might be a lot more fun than just hopping on and playing with strangers, and it might give you the opportunity to 'network' a little.
I was even thinking about setting up a site, or page for a 'schedule of events'
What do you guys think?

But I do know what you mean about online gaming - I started out with Socom 1 with the PS2 - and at the time I was the guy spending 23 hours a day on it. But as time wore on and 'life' got in the way I found it no longer fun to be a casual online player.
Btw: Doesn't Live let you setup groups or something (for team play events)?
